H&M Public Health Opportunity

I would like to inform you about a unique opportunity for your students: the first Health Equity High School Summit hosted by the University of Michigan School of Public Health and The Health Equity Leadership Pipeline Collaborative in the Health Management and Policy Department.

Taking place on March 24th at the School of Public Health, the summit’s mission is to introduce high school students to the discipline of public health and health disparities. To expose high school students to the complexities of addressing health disparities, they will engage in a team case study competition, have the opportunity to interact with health professionals and students, listen to a renown public health professional present a keynote speech, and participate in a series of workshops on broad health disparity topics. The summit will be an all day event, free of charge, and food will be provided. This is when YOU become essential to the success of the summit! We are seeking support in spreading the word about this opportunity and were wondering if you would be interested in encouraging your students to sign-up. Is there any parent listserv that this announcement could be sent out in? This program would be particularly beneficial for any student interested in social justice!

Students can register today at goo.gl/BD2pGd. Spots are limited, so we encourage students to register as soon as possible!
